M-SS-NCT is a legacy non-contact speed-switch record in Matsushima’s conveyor-protection product family. Matsushima describes its speed switches as safety sensors that monitor conveyor or machinery speed and produce an alarm or stop output for under-speed, overspeed or slip conditions.
Manufacturer-documented specifications
- Non-contact proximity-sensor principle has no mechanically contacting consumable sensing part.
- Shaft speed is measured from pulses generated as a metallic target, key or gear tooth passes the proximity sensor.
- An alarm or stop output is produced when pulse frequency falls below or rises above the preset level.
- Manufacturer-listed purposes include belt-slip/fire prevention, blocked-chute prevention and early indication of belt breakage.
M-SS-NCT is an older model code; current replacement selection should be confirmed with Matsushima using the original nameplate and electrical data.
