Kansai Automation Tilt Switch

What is Kansai Automation Tilt Switch?

Kansai Automation Tilt Switch is a device used for measuring the tilt of an object in multiple axes with reference to an absolute level plane. They are small and compact instruments which make them a viable option for many applications where orientation or inclination detection is a key factor, such as warning systems on construction or agricultural vehicles. Alongside our vast range of inclinometers and inclinometer sensors, our tilt-switches at Level Developments also use highly accurate sensors to operate, gaining an advantage over alternatives such as mercury switches or rolling ball mechanisms.

Tilt sensors work by detecting changes in angle from a pre-set “zero” state. They are set with a maximum and minimum threshold in which the application will work or be safe to operate based on the specific application’s needs. If the tilt or inclination exceeds these threshold values in either direction, a relay will be engaged and the switch closed, thus sending an operation to an external device such as an alarm or warning light to indicate unsafe or non-working conditions.

Brand New Order Code Old Order Code Product Name For Use With Cable Length Weight Housing (Body) Application
Kansai Automation  TC-1 TC1 Tilt Switch Probe Powder & Bulk 1 meter 11 KG Cast-iron Large hoppers , Silos  , Crushers ,  Trippers ,  Stackers , Conveyors
Kansai Automation  TC-3 TC3 Tilt Switch Probe Powder & Bulk 1,27 meter 1,3 KG Aluminum casting
Features

The tilt type level switch has only one moving part!
Levels are detected by simple and sure operations!
It has a simple structure and can withstand severe impact loads of particulates.
It can be used for upper, middle, and lower limits.
No power source is needed and wiring cost is low.

Operating Principles

When the main body hung from the top of the tank is tilted by the repose angle of the measured substance, the tilt of the main body is detected and the contact is switched. When the measured substance passes over, the output contact is restored to the initial state.
